Buddy Bo Bo Biscuit -

Writer: Valhalla Rescue CenterValhalla Rescue Center

Bo was found on the side of the highway by rescue worker Cassie G. She was able to catch him easily, he came right up to her and her youngest daughter. Bo stayed a few days with Cassie’s family for a few days while the team searched for his owners, sadly there was no one looking for this handsome fella. Bo then came to stay with the team at VRC. Where he became a regular part of the pack, following workers and volunteers around while they did a variety of tasks. He and the VRC staff became very connected with each other, and VRC staff quickly realized that Bo was very smart learning commends and tasks within a matter of minutes. Months went by and there had been no adopters interested in him. One afternoon, VRC got the call. A young man and his family who lived in South Florida wanted to adopt him, they lived and worked on a farm and thought he would be a great fit for their active outdoor lifestyle.

VRC and Bo made the 5-hour drive to what could be Bo’s forever home. After seeing how he acted about the family's youngest, VRC staff knew that Bo was home! Just over a year later, VRC got a letter from Bo’s adopter.

Stephen Writes:

Bo has been the greatest dog. He is the most loving animal we have ever had especially with our five-year-old. They are inseparable he follows her around every second she is home. He has adapted to house life with no problems, he is very smart and only takes one or two times of training and he has it down pat. He loves working the animals he herds our cows, and he can get them to go anywhere we want when we are rotating pastures. When a pig gets out all I have to do is tell him to bring it back and stand by the gate and he will run them right back in. He gets so much excitement working on our little farm. He has been a blessing. He knows everyone in our neighborhood and everyone who meets him is amazed at how smart he is.

Happy trails and happy Tales BO!

The VRC team is so happy for you!
